‘In Venom’ is the emotional and explosive new single from DIAMOND BLACK, which tackles issues of anxiety, addiction, self-sabotage and trauma.
Diamond Black are fronted by Ben Christo of THE SISTERS OF MERCY, and, on this new single, the band are joined by LORD OF THE LOST singer Chris Harms, on guest vocal. The song was co-written with THE 69 EYES’ Timo-Timo and Jaani Peuhu (THE RASMUS).
Hard-hitting guitars, pounding bass, explosive drums, darkwave synth and passionate vocal meld together to express this internal struggle; a desperate cry to escape the place where ‘fears drag you down.’

“ ‘In Venom’s preoccupation with mental health issues is very important to me, as I have a personal connection with these themes, so getting to write and sing about them was really cathartic. Part of our mission in Diamond Black is to write and perform music that can resonate with and give hope to those who are struggling mentally and emotionally – and in that light, perhaps the song will resonate in some way with you.
I’m thrilled that ‘In Venom’ features LORD OF THE LOST’s Chris Harms and that it was co-written with Timo-Timo of the THE 69 EYES! Both legends brought a palpable emotional darkness to the proceedings, and we’re honoured to have collaborated with them.”
The captivating lyric video was created by 12 Inch Media, who have also worked with Bring Me The Horizon, Alice Cooper and Smashing Pumpkins, to name a few.
