ICONIC EYE
Iconic Eye burst onto the rock scene in 2015 when they self-released their debut album, “Hidden in Plain Sight”. They leapt straight onto Jake’s Stage at that years Download festival, then on to support the Treatment at Rockingham’s Pre-party in the same year and then to Hard Rock Hell (HRH) in March 2016. A truly remarkable start!
In 2017, the band made the bold move to become female fronted. This change lifted the existing songs and created the right environment for the band to start writing again.
The band’s second album, “Into The Light”, was first released via Skyfire Records on November 4th, 2017.
The band started to tour Europe from February 2018 onwards which is including dates across the UK and another appearance at Hard Rock Hell (HRH) AOR and a Scandinavian tour with Magnum in March 2018; plus a second support with Hardline.
The band have played with various other major rock acts such as Lee Aaron and Kee Marcello; and at various major venues such at Giants of Rock Festival and Planet Rock’s, ‘Rockstock’ in December 2018.
During 2019, supports with, Hardline (for the 3rd time), Y&T, Pete Way (ex UFO) and Last in Line enabled the band to grow its fan base.
In preparation for a scaling up of gigs from 2022, Janey Smith previously known as Janey Bombshell, became the new singer of the band.
A new EP, “Back from Behind the Sun”, was released on December 4th, 2020. The band subsequently played:
• Hard Rock Hell – AOR (Leicester O2) – June 2022
• Planet Rock – Winters End – March 2022
• Hard Rock Hell – Spring Break (Main Stage) – March 2023
Following this gig the band had to go into a hiatus as Janey was selected to become a contestant in an ITV’s Your Mom, my Dad. Janey kept the band updated throughout the experience but as Autumn 2023 drew in it became clear that Janey’s new TV career was taking off and the best route for her was to put her time into that. The band wish her well and are really pleased to have our time with her.
Enter Mick White! As a one-time member of Samson, Mick White had played most of the UK’s premier venues at the tender age of eighteen. He’d supported Iron Maiden on their mammoth UK trek for the “Somewhere In Time” tour and also had a wealth of writing and recording experience for someone so young. Following his departure from Samson in 1989 White formed First Strike and continued to write, record and tour his way around the UK including tours with Uriah Heep, Giant, Dare, Slaughter, Shy and many others making videos and headlining shows at the Marquee in London.
After First Strike split, Mick found his talents were very much in demand in the studio and spent the next five years doing session work across various studios in London. Towards the end of the nineties White started writing again and was offered a deal with US record company Domo records. This became the band Seven Days who went on to release two singles recorded in London and mixed by Kip Winger at his studio in Sante Fe. After a period of hiatus and in the Summer of 2019 White was approached by Steelheart Records to finally get a release for the First Strike album. Now Mick is joining as lead singer and is joining in the writing activity for the next album.
The band are now signed to TowerRok Band Management and are available for interviews, festivals & tours for 2025 to support their new material releases.
