Jack J Hutchinson is set to captivate audiences once again with the release of his latest single, "Bullets," accompanied by an adrenaline-fueled music video that pays homage to the iconic film Bullitt.

"Bullets" serves as the third single from Hutchinson's highly anticipated 10-track album, 'Battles,' released on February 9, 2024. The track delivers a potent message about taking responsibility for one's actions, confronting fears, and the relentless pursuit of personal growth. Hutchinson shares, "It's far too easy to place the blame for our faults on other people, but sometimes we need to admit that the faults lie closer to home. The lyrics are about not recognizing this and working to be a better person, no matter how difficult that might be."

The song's distinctive sound is a fusion of influences, as Hutchinson explains, "I wanted to write a riff that was like 'Whole Lotta Love' twisted on its head, after a round of sambuca. The vocal line and melody bring together my Mancunian roots with a hint of 80s hard rock, fists in the air, euphoria. This leads into the guitar solo, which was a lot of fun to record. I said to producer and co-writer Josiah Manning, 'let's try mixing Van Halen with Stevie Ray Vaughan,' and this was the outcome!"

The accompanying music video, directed by Kris Barras of Ignite Productions, pays homage to Steve McQueen's Bullitt, featuring the iconic Ford Mustang from the famous car chase scene. Hutchinson shares his excitement about the video, saying, "The only negative was I had to give the car back at the end of the day, but as Kris pointed out, you wouldn't fit too many Les Pauls in that boot!"

Credits for "Bullets" include Jack J Hutchinson on vocals and guitar, Josiah Manning on bass and guitar, and Billy Hammett on drums. The track was co-written by Hutchinson and Manning and recorded at Momentum Studios, Devon.

As fans eagerly await the full 'Battles' album, "Bullets" stands as a powerful precursor, showcasing Hutchinson's musical prowess and the depth of emotion woven into his work.

Jack’s album launch will take place in London at the 02 Academy followed by a full tour.
