Uriah Heep are set to announce a series of final tour dates around the World starting next year. The band are proud to announce the February 2025 UK leg of The Magician’s Farewell tour. The 7 date UK tour is a celebration of one of the most important British rock acts of all time.

Mick Box says, “Who can believe next year is 55 years since the band started? And I know many of you have been with us since the beginning. Well, none of us are getting younger so unfortunately we have made the decision to wind down touring the World starting next year.

Under the very apt title of “The Magician’s Farewell” we will start our final journey on the road. This isn’t going to be one of those long, dragged out goodbyes but we do intend over the next 2-3 years to play as many places possible and see you all for one last time. I want to reiterate that the band will continue to play shows as long as we can after we are done touring but these will be limited to one off festival type events and the like.

On behalf of the band and myself I want to thank you all for the continued support you have always given us and it means so much to us. Look forward to seeing you all again very soon … ‘Appy Days!”

ABOUT URIAH HEEP:

Among venerable UK rock institutions, with Black Sabbath and Jethro Tull dispersed, we are, perhaps, really, down to just Deep Purple, Yes and Uriah Heep left to uphold the tradition of quality original progressive hard rock forged at the very beginning of a golden era for this music, late ‘60s into the nexus year that was 1970.

At that crossroads, along with Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, Uriah Heep helped invent a decorative and uniquely British form of heavy metal with their debut album, Very ‘Eavy, Very ‘Umble. The record was offered as a self-titled on American shores, but whatever the titling, it was historically massive in the invention of a music format that would rule the ‘70s and only intensify in the ‘80s.

Uriah Heep’s longevity is a testament to the band’s music, prolific song-writing, incredible live shows and tireless efforts. Legends is a term oft banded about - but it fits Uriah Heep. The band’s career spans over 55 years and it has been a roller coaster: 25 studio albums, 21 official live albums, more than 45 million albums sold worldwide and over 4000 shows performed across 60 countries.

From the aptly titled 1970 debut album Very ‘Eavy… Very ‘Umble, through to their last magnificent studio record Chaos & Colour, released in 2023, Uriah Heep have always produced infectious hard rock blended with stunning melodies and intricate harmonies.
